Why is registering my DataDot information important?
Once the unique identifying number is read, law enforcement will go to DataDot USA's website or use their own internal auto theft department database to link that number to the owner's information. This helps in returning the stolen parts/vehicle and ultimately aiding in prosecuting thieves in the court of law. If your vehicle is stolen and not recovered within 30 days, DataDot will pay you $2500 on top of your insurance settlement!
